Hello Gayle, firstly, can you please provide me off list with the serial number and exact model of your machine, i.e VoiceNote BT, VoiceNote QT, BrailleNote QT etc?
You will only be able to copy the exe file to the other BrailleNote if it is the exact same model as yours. If it isn't, the manual won't "explode" and you won't be able to see it. the other thing I should mention is that running this file from the Windows folder on the KeySoft system disk is fine, but if you have an upgrade on your flash disk, you will be simply reinstating an old manual. You should try and find exactly the same file in the manual folder on the flash disk. If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me. When asked to enter t for table of contents or i for index, the Braille Note states "cannot find file" or something to that affect. I have spoken with tech support and was told to run the bnb.exe file found in the windows folder of the key soft system disk, using the application program option under utilities. I located the file on my BN but could not on the one in question. Could I transfer my bnb.exe file to this machine? If this is not a good course of action, what might I try next. Calling tech support has not been practical of late, as they appear to be understaffed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
