To expand a bit on my previous message regarding attachment corruptions, I just
sent a .brf file using keysoft 6.11 and received it on my pc. I saved and
opened the attachment and it was sent without problem. I didn't read the
entire volume of course, but all braille characters are correct. This is a
volume I
initially downloaded from nls web braille.

Hi Jim,

I have not received any messages from you which were sent directly to me. If
you tried to attach the files when mailing to the list, they are stripped by
the
listserv software and never got here.

However, I did send a message to myself from the bn using 6.11 and attached a
word document. I received the file on the pc and was able to open the file
in ms word 2002 with no problem at all.

Since I no longer have a machine here running ks 5.1 I can't try receiving it
on that machine. The file I sent to myself was a word file located on the C
drive
of my pc, so I used the network drive in 6.11 to obtain the file.

The file I used for this was a word file but it did not have any complex
characteristics such as unusual fonts, bullets or other such that I am aware of.

Hello Don,

It shouldn't matter which upgrade one has in their unit. One should be able to
send unaltered attachments without difficulty! Unfortunately, attached files
are
being corrupted somehow in 6.1 or 6.11. Another party has a PK and he was
complaining about the same thing. This is definitely a problem! I will attempt
to
send you two attachments. Both of these are readable in my unit. I should be
able to send them to you with no difficulty! I have 6.1.1 in my unit. Feel
free
to explain this if you can.
