Hello Steven, I am not wishing to sound pedantic here but there is a difference between features and functionality.
All the features can certainly be used. the differences are mainly when dealing with Braille. For example, the keyboard can only be used after you have changed the grade to computer Braille, which has to be done from the PK's keyboard directly. Another thing is while you can put the PK into a suspend mode using the Bluetooth keyboard, you need to bring it out of suspend with the PK keyboard, as the Bluetooth software is not running while the PK is suspended. these are, I personally think, small differences Steven but there is nothing that you need to worry about as far as accessibility goes. Before the list went down there were a couple of posts that confused me. In one post I believe Dean wrote that using a bluetooth keyboard with the PK would not allow for 100% access to all the Keysoft features. Later in another post Jonathan wrote that using a wireless keyboard would allow the PK to be used as a QT, which to me means that all functions would be available, Which statement is accurate? I may have missed something, sorry if I did. This would be a major factor on my decision to get a PK in addition to my BN. Since I have been blind only a short amount of time and have braille skills in what I describe as Grade 1 at best, and still am in the learning process, having access to all the features available with a keyboard would be of great benefit, and frankly makes the decision to purchase or not the deciding factor. Thanks for your help. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
