Hello Lindsay,

Unfortunately, you will have to put up with the crackle in the speech unless
you upgrade to KeySoft 6.11 as this was an issue in earlier versions of
KeySoft.

Regarding the speech disappearing sometimes, this issue seems to have been
reduced greatly with the upgrade but it was a serious issue in earlier
versions. It isn't related to the crackling. They are two separate issues.

As far as your email is concerned, this issue has been observed mostly by
customers using various ISP's in the US. I'm not aware to what extent this
issue has been resolved with the new upgrade, which does use a new email
client but I can say that reports of blank subject lines aren't as numerous
as they once were.

If you have any further queries, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Subject: [Braillenote] re: crackling speaker

> Hi Dean,

unfortunately, I do use multilingual (Spanish) so I don't want to delete
these files knowing I could do something to damage it unless doing so really
is not a big problem. If there's anything else I should do, please let me
know, otherwise, the crackling really isn't a huge problem. Do you know if
it is related to when my speech all of a sudden decides to die on me? I know
it's not due to stand-by mode because my Braille display works. It can be a
big problem when I am in the middle of web browsing and then my speech all
of a sudden decides not to work. I can always fix it with a simple reset.
Technical support could not figure this problem out. Thanks for any
suggestions.
