I have the super disk drive. I've only used it in my BN. One should never
allow the BN to format super disks or they will be formated to standard
disk size. I am told the BN should never format disks or cards. I allowed
my BN to format a storage card and I didn't care whether i'd lose
everything on it. That worked fine and have been using that 128 meg card
since. The 10 meg floppy disks are another matter though! I can't speak
for using your super disk drive on other computers though!

Hello to you all!
I post this message here because I know the BrailleNotes were (or maybe
still are?) provided with a drive that reads super disks and standard
floppy disks.
To those who own such a drive with their BrailleNotes: How did you get
along with these so far?
The reason why I ask is this:
I bought an internal super disk drive for my PC, and it just worked
propperly for about 5 minutes! After the installation, my friend showed me
how it works with the super disk, and Windows showed the drive as a
removable drive b. Then my friend wanted to demonstrate that it also reads
floppy disks, so he inserted a floppy disk, and it worked.
But from that very moment on, the super disk drive wouldn't accept the
super disks anymore. The system would just tell me the drive was not
formatted and ask if I would want to format it now. Also, it would tell me
the drive is a floppy and no longer a removable drive, even if a super disk
is inserted.
Is there anything I can do to fix it so that I can use the super disks
again?
I also should mention that I still have a standard floppy disk drive in my
computer as well. Could this confuse the operating system?
What are your experiences with the super disk drives?
Would be nice if you could tell me about it. If you want to write off-list,
you can do so to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks for any response,
Thomas
