Dear Richard and List,
Say PDI authorizes local businesses to change the battery? A warrantee
could then remain valid.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger

All of that is well and good, but if I void the warranty, the money I
save is not going to matter.

Dear List,
Respectfully, local battery change is the topic of discussion for this
list, not Radio Shack. The concept of a local store changing the
Braillenote's battery is a very good one. There are businesses fully
capable of performing the battery change, even if Radio Shack is not.

Think of the advantages of a local battery change. Your battery dies
on Monday morning. You get a new battery installed on Monday afternoon.
You save time. You save money; shipping and insurance.

Sincerely,
Jerry Weinger
