You may want to try doing a reset without holding down any keys. Just use a
pointed object to press the reset botton on the left side of the BN. Wait
few seconds. It will beep, and the main menu will display. Then turn off
the power and turn it back on again.

I was recently having trouble connecting with Active Sync. I had borrowed a
compact Flash card and all of the adapters and reader I needed to transfer
files from the PC to the BN. But the BN would not recognize the flash card.
After performing a reset, the BN recognized the flash card, and I was also
able to connect using Active Sync.

Subject: [Braillenote] Compact Flash and BN

Hello,

Can folks tell me about the brands of compact flash (1 gig and larger) that
people have successfully used with the BN? i recently purchased a Hitachi 4
gig type II compact flash card only to find that when I inserted it in the
BN, I got the "card not recognised" message. I need something that has
large capacity and that is easily interchangeable between a PC and the BN as
I use both constantly and need access to the same files on both. I have a
toshiba 5 gig PCMCIA card (not made any longer) which works great with the
BN, but I can't find a reader that will allow me to read and write to the
card from the PC. So I need some suggestions of brands and any other
parameters that I should be aware of regarding compatibility with the PC and
BN. I sought advice from Pulsedata tech support only to be told that "most"
compact flash "should" work. I've been off this list for some time but am
turning to all of you as the real experts. Help please!
