I have seen ssome minature speakers, about three inches in diameter, that produced a lot of noise. I mean high volume. The best bet is to use high impedance speakers, about 32 ohms, more or less.

I used sometime ago a speaker for RADIO SHACK and it worked well?
It was not a WIRELESS speaker and it did not have a clip.
It did work well as I said.
I made a little pouch which I could clip to the strap.
It uses a 9 volt battary and you can also use it to amplify your headphones.

PS. What I did not like is that if you do not turn it off the battary runs out and you need a tool to open the battary compartment, "ONE MORE THING TO CARY AROUND!"
