And I have word 2002 and have no problems.  But I don't know about word
2003.

Let me jump in here and say that when the announcement came out about this 
upgrade last June, Jonathan stated at that time that all versions of word 
would work just fine.
This brings up something: I have had word 2000 on my computer since I have 
been using computers and I have not had one bit of trouble with the Braille 
Note accepting word files, not once.
