Hi, Jennifer: Hope this is what you need regarding backing up your address list.
The file you need to copy is 'Address Listddcdb' if you have the newer
database structure or 'KeyListddcdb' if you have the older one.
  1) From the Main Menu, press F for the File Manager, followed by C for the
"Copy File" option.
  2) At the "Drive?" prompt, press F for the Flash Disk. Select 'KeyList' as
your folder, and at the "Source File Name?" prompt, press SPACE to be on the
"List of All Files" view before pressing [SPACE with X], [READ with X] to get
to the "List of All, including Hidden, Files" view. Select the file which is
appropriate to your unit, either 'Address Listddcdb' or 'KeyListddcdb' (the
KeyList file of the older database structure contains the E-Mail Folders,
Address List, and Directory of Services databases).
  3) Select the location of the, copy, and there you go.
If you restored the Address List file, this would just restore the contents
of the Address List up to that point, but the KeyList file would restore all
three databases. If you want to make sure you've backed up all files which
store database records for all databases (discdb extensions, not the DDF
files), backup the entire KeyList folder of the Flash Disk. DO NOT use the
Copy File option and the multiple-character wild card to copy all files, as
this will not get the hidden files, the files which contain database records,
and this is what you want. Instead, use the Backup option:
  1) From the Main Menu, press U for the Utilities Menu, and press B for the
"Backup or Restore" option.
  2) At the prompt asking whether you wish to backup or restore, press B for
"Backup".
  3) Select the Flash Disk and the KeyList folder.
  4) Select the backup location. Note that the KeyList folder will become a
subfolder of whichever folder you choose to make the backup in. If you
selected the root directory of your Storage Card as the backup location, the
folder KeyList will appear along with the rest of your folders (as opposed to
being a subfolder of another folder whose name appears on the list).
If you backed up only the Address List database, use the File Manager to copy
it from your backup location to the KeyList folder of the Flash Disk. If you
need to restore the entire KeyList folder, use the Backup or Restore option,
pressing R for "Restore" (instead of B for "Backup" or I for "Incremental
Backup") at the prompt asking whether you wish to backup or restore. Select
the location of the folder and the folder itself, and select the Flash Disk as
the drive to restore to.
