I've had this kind of thing happen with several types of notetakers, and
not just the BN. I was wondering if there would be a place to put a
special chord key, that would make it easily reachable, but not a key
that's used for other things like the spacebar is. I can't think of where
that hypothetical key could be placed though. I picture it on the front by
the thumbkeys, but there's really no room. Still, if there was a place
that a special chord key could be easily accessed and the user could hit
that key and the appropriate other keys, instead of the spacebar and other
keys, it might help people avoid the problem many have reported of being
bounced out of documents or moved to another position in documents. Hmmmm,
I wonder if an option could be added to the thumbkey option to make them be
chord keys instead of doing what they normally do. I know for myself I
almost never use the previous and next thumbkeys. If I were one who had a
problem with accidental chords, I might like to have the option of using
one of these as a chord key. Just brainstorming as I type, wondering if
there's a solution to this situation.

No, this is not possible. And, it can be frustrating.

Subject: [Braillenote] taking notes at high speed
Pardon me folks.
I'm reposting this on the off chance I've missed the answers.
One problem my wife has found in keying information very quickly on the
Braille note.
That problem is if one hits a chord by accident, one winds up out of the
document and has to find one's way back.
Is there a way to temporarily disable the chording function?
