You should not have saved it as a brf file. You need to save it as it is
with a .bks extension. Then you go into the book reader and unpack it that
way.

Subject: [Braillenote] unpacking bookshare book

> Hi Listers,
> Okay I emailed Bookshare tech schpport and something had to be fixed in
the database so I happily downloaded my book. Except I cannot read it. I
downloaded it as a brf file. I named the file with a brf extension like I
do with the Web Braille books. Does the book still have to be unzipped if
it is a brf file and why? This just seems not to make sense. If it is a brf
file and the Bn support brf files then why must they need to be unifped? Web
Braille files don't have to be unzipped and they are also brf. I guess I
should redownload the book? I put the book in my books folder. When I go to
read it the BN says bookshare.org

> I'd email Bookshare tech support but I'm not sure they'd know how to help
me. I looked at the directions in the user guide and I guess I need to
redownload the book and rename its extension? I just don't get it if ! BN
support brf files shouldn't they be called brf files? I'm able to log in
easier now my email address is being recognized and I was finally able to
change my password.
> Now if I could just read the book I downloaded to see if Bookshare really
is okay or not.
