Hi Everyone, Since I did not get a response to the message I sent out yesterday on a similar subject, I will ask again if someone can suggest specific brands of compact flash that have worked for them with their Braille Notes. I purchased a Hitachi 4 gig compact flash card which was not recognized by the BN. has anyone else had success with 4 gig compact flash or just the 1 and 2 gig cards? Can someone mention the brand of 1 and 2 gig cards they have purchased and/or where they have purchased them. Please also let me know what compact flash readers you have found for use with your PC. Do these have to be configured with the PC and, if so, was there any difficulty in getting it set up?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. The card with a card reader is not only efficient for use with the PC and Braillenote interchange of data, but it is much cheaper. No moving parts in the card reader that we, the user, notice. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, October 26, 2004 3:00 PM To: Contribute Braillenote Subject: [Braillenote] compact-flash, or, microdrive. Greetings to all, I am considering extending the memory of my braillenote. It appears I can either buy a compact-flash card, or a microdrive. I am looking for about one gyg or more. I would very much like to know the advantages, or otherwise, of one system compared to the other. can someone help. my instinct tells me to go for the compact-flash with no moving parts, but surely that can't be the whole story, otherwise nobody would buy microdrives. come in please.
