I've been reading posts, but the PCMCIA slot needs to be kept for us Disk
Drive users. Let's keep in mind the only way to connect the BN to it's disk
drive is using the PCMCKA card slot on the right side.

USB isn't going to work with a BN because you need drivers, that won't
work with the BN. You should read posts sometime.

Subject: [Braillenote] future of braillenote
Hello List,
I have been reading posts on the future of the braillenote and there was
one from Doug I believe, that was very good.
I know that some would like to see the pcmcia slot worked on so it is not
as sluggish, and others say they don't have a problem with it.
I for one, would like to see the pcmcia slot not only worked on to make
it less sluggish, but it will need to be changed in the future. The
reason I say this, is that I have been to several computer shows and all
of the cards I have looked at are type 3 and not type 2 which is what the
braillenote is currently.
Also, I think that the braillenote needs to have a usb connection, and
capability of bluetooth like the pk. Although some have said on this
list, if that is what you want go purchase a pk instead, well I bought a
braillenote long before the pk was thought of and I have large fingers
and the keyboard on the pk is too small for me not to mention the fact
that I scraped just enough money on my own to purchase a braillenote so
there is no way I could afford another unit, and I like the size of my
braillenote keyboard and braille display the way it is I just would like
to see some of the features installed into it from the pk.
Thanks for listening,
Robert
