Lisa,, I just saw this post. I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer.

What you do is this.

for an email you type out the address--like mine is
[EMAIL PROTECTED] You type out the part before the at sign in
grade two--unless it has a number in it, in which case you put a dot four in
front of each number and write the number in computer Braille. When you get
to the at sign, hit dot four twice--once to show it's a computer Braille
code and once ore because that's how you type an at sign. Type the rest in
grade two till you get to the dot then type a dot four and then dots
four-six. Then you just finish off the email address like normal.

For a web address a colon would be dot four, dot one-five-six. A slash
would be dot four, dots three-four. The periods or dots would be dot four,
dots four-six.

Hope this helps.

Jane

Subject: [Braillenote] writing in computer braille in emails

> Hi Listers,
> I have posted about this twice within the past couple weeks and received
no response. If I would receive a response I wouldn't keep posting about it
obviously. I apologize for the repeated postings on this but I keep
thinking maybe if I persist in posting about this someone will be kind
enough to tell me what to do.
> Okay all I want to do which I think is very simple is to type email
addresses or Web pages into email messages. I thought the correct command
on the BT keyboard was backspace with j. I used to do this and get the
grade change indicator on the Braille display. Now I get nothing. What am
I doing wrong? I've looked in the User's Guide and found nothing to support
this idea. I thought this was the correct command. Then when I'm done
writing in computer Braille I think it's backspace b to put it back into
writing in Grade 2. If someone can just send me something to say yes that's
correct or no it isn't here is what I need to do please tell me.
> I have always appreciated the help I have received on this list. Maybe I
don't thank people enough or something to not deserve assistance.
> I really would like help with this issue but maybe others don't have this
problem.
> Thanks for your help and your time.
