Hi there Don. I do think that a strong case can be made for a utility that
synchronises between BrailleNotes, however this won't be something we'll
offer at BrailleNote PK release time. You're correct that the simplest way
to copy files from one BrailleNote to another when ActiveSync is not an
option would be to use a compact flash card. I have an inquiry in with our
R&D team regarding whether you might be able to use two BrailleNotes in ad
hoc wireless mode to transfer information from one to the other. I would
have a use for that too. So hopefully I'll be able to get back to you on
that.
Hope this helps.

Subject
[Braillenote] pk to braillenote

Hello to all, but especially to jonathan who, at this time, probably has
more hand-on experience with the PK than any of us. If I were to buy a
PK, I would want to use it as a highly portable extension of my
Braillenote. Now let me make it clear, I have no PC, nor have I plans, or
indeed the room, to house one. Thus, if I write letters or any documents
on a PK while away from home, in what ways can I get these files on to
my Braillenote back in my office, in order to work on them, print them,
emboss them, etc., I suppose one obvious way would be to save the files on
to the PK's cf card which could then be put into the appropriate slot on
the Braillenote. Am I right in thinking that a cable connection would not
be possible as the PK has no serial output, and indeed the usb port will
accept but not transmit data. (pardon my crude terminology.), or am I
wrong? However, it crossed my mind that, as the PK is to have full
wire-less connectivity, and the Braillenote with its additional card, will
also have this facility, will it be possible for me to send my files by
this means, thus saving constantly having to remove and replace cards. I
suppose one could always use an email linkage, but I find that this method
often plays havoc with the formatting. I apologise Jonathan for taking
your valuable time, but, for me, these are very important, though possibly
rather basic points. Don Cooper.
