Tina,
Sure you can get an mp3 player, but then you need to load it from the Pc! So I wonder if it's worth the hassles and not all mp3 players are blind friendly.

Yes and I usually use my pc because these files are so big and I'm usually home
when I want to play stuff from acb radio so it's not a big deal, but I was
wondering if it could be done. What about those little mp
3 file players. I guess if you do a lot of listening like that or travel and
don't have a laptop you can get a small player for those things and use the bn
for other stuff.

Hello Tina:

If you downloaded these shows and transferred them to a CF card (assuming at
the right bit rate) then yes, you could listen to them on the BN. However,
because, I believe, these shows are an hour in length and thus very large in
size, you will be unable to download them directly from the BN due to the
current size restrictions.

The BN copies all files downloaded first to the keysoft disk and then to the
desired drive. Therefore, since the KS disk is only 8 MB in size, and part
of this storage is already taken up with other files, it would be impossible
to download such a large file. This is also the reason why clearing
temporary internet files is so important, because everything you downloaded
will stay there until you do. That means that the more you download, the
smaller the amount of space you have to work with, and the slower the
process will become.

HTH, Laura

Wouldn't you be able to download the day you want or the program to a cf
card and play it from there in the media player? I'v never used the media
player so have no idea how it works but can't you do that or does it
always
want to play right away? I always have main menu which is pretty much what
I
listen to play right away so don't know ++
