Just call the sales office and they'll tell you where it is--perhaps. I do
that all the time. What annoys me is that eveyr single time I have had to
send the unit in, I have asked for them to email me the tracking information
so I can tell where it is--coming back that is--and they *ne ver ever* have.
I have had to call them several times to get them to tell me. But you may
have luck

Subject: [Braillenote] Tracking BrailleNote order

I wonder if it's possible to track a BrailleNote order, assuming UPS or a
similar mailing service was used. My BrailleNote was ordered on September
21st with an anticipated two-week shipping time by the agency for the blind
here in Virginia. I believe that the woman who made the order bypassed
going through the local sales representative here, as she claimed that, in
past experiences, he took much longer than he should have to deliver
products to clients. Unless there are other avenues for state agencies to
pursue, that would probably mean she went directly through the California
distributor.

I suppose part of this message is written out of frustration of knowing
where the product is in transit in order to gage when it is likely to
arrive. I downloaded the manual for the QT model on my laptop months ago,
and actually have been helping a guy working for the Employment Equal
Opportunity Commission who received a BrailleNote around eight months ago
but didn't get a Braille manual with it and is not very computer literate,
so knows little of what he can do with it other than take notes. It's the
strangest tech support I've ever done, but I'm answering questions for him
like how to do email and set the date and time purely by reading the manual,
without the device in my hands.

I'm sure others of you agonized during the long wait before you received
your BrailleNote, and I'll contact the woman who processed the order and
perhaps she can give me a tracking number so I can identify when I should
receive the product.

Regards,

Chad
