I have not saved books to the pc yet, because I just started using one not too
long ago. However, for the VoiceNote_/BrailleNote:
WEB BRAILLE

When you get on the NLS home page, press S, until you see the link that says
"Search the catalog". At that point, press ENTER. (If you are using the Bn,
you might want to save that link to your "favorites" menu.) After pressing
ENTER, you'll see NLS: quick search. If you start scrolling down, using your
thumb-key, (the one next to the right), you'll see some edit boxes: Author:
Last name First; then a link called "examples;" another box called Title,
followed by a link "examples;" a boxm called Keyword, in which you can write a
subject, or the BR number, an "examples" link, and then some buttons. The only
one you have to really worry about is the Search Button. Now, you need to know
that, when you're writing in those edit boxes, everything has to be in Computer
Braille, just as it is on Bookshare. Say you want to see what there is by
William Faulkner. You go to the author edit box, and, in Computer Braille,
write: Faulkner, William. Press ENTER. You will then see a me!
ssage, which will tell you that you are seeing one through twenty of, say,
fortyfive. Now, here's the important think to know. Just because a book is in
Braille, doesn't mean you can download it! The way you know you can download a
book, on a BN, is to press the spacebar. It will either say, "More on this
record" or, it will show you a web address. If you see the web address, you
can download the book. There is a web address for each volume of a book.
Therefore, if a book is in six volumes, you see six web addresses. The URL for
web braille books tacks the book number plus its volume number to the regular
web address. If you were reading a book with the number 5729, the URL for the
first volume would look something like: www.loc.gov@/nls@/[EMAIL PROTECTED] It
would be easier to do the following:

After saving, presumably, volume one of the book you are downloading, simply
press SPACE with E so that the current URL is displayed on the address bar.
Navigate your cursor to where the URL state (V01), and simply change the one to
a two, and press ENTER. This will bring up the page of volume two. Repeat
this process for as many volumes as the book has.
