Hi Isaac. It's good to see you on the list, I remember you from many years
ago back in the BBS days.

USB clients are limited in the kind of peripherals you can work with. You
can use USB client for ActiveSync for example, but not for powering or
hosting devices like hard drives.

BrailleNote PK has a lot of great networking functionality, like WiFi and
support for wired networks, but if you don't have access to a network, then
you can obviously still use the many other features it offers. However you
will be surprised at just how common WiFi is these days.

Yes, it is correct that you can't print directly from the BrailleNote PK
which is really designed to be a companion to a PC. So you would copy your
document to a PC and print and emboss from there.

Hi all,
I am wondering something about the PK.
1. what does usb client only mean?
2. It sounds like the bnpk is for someone who have a network setup either
at home or in the office to take advantage of some of the features. Is
this a correct assumption?
3. I heard you can't print directly from the bnpk. Is this true?
I know that perhaps these questions have already been answered, but I am
trying to make a decision as to whether I want a bn regular or a bnpk. and
I will have a few questions.
I've read the literature on the bnpk, but it doesn't answer all questions
directly.
thanks in advance.
Isaac
