Hi Steve. As of KeySoft 5.0, the Exceptions Table was discontinued. This
is because it was a feature we were unable to offer when we changed our
Braille translation software to Duxbury.

Subject
[Braillenote] braille exceptions table

Personally, I have found the braille exceptions table to be very extremely
useful. The only improvement that I would like to see is more than the
100 entries in a braille exceptions table. However, for the time being at
least, I have actually found a way around this. Of course, I keep a copy
of my braille exceptions table on a storage card. This means that I can
create more than one braille exceptions table and have them all on the
storage card. The only thing I need to remember is to first remove the
one which is currently active in the dictionaries folder on the flash
disk, then put in the new one by copying it off the storage card. Now
here is a tip for the storage cards. Have more than one dictionaries
folder, or if you like save one table per folder on your storage card.
Just make sure that they are all text documents and that they all contain
the name of braille exceptions table.

Now I still have v 4.01 without a browser, so Now pardon me if this may or
may not have been covered or suggested or improved. But I would really
like to see some sort of way of making the braille exceptions table work
in the calculator.

Also, I would like to have some detailed discussions with anyone, and oh,
could this please very strictly happen off list in private please, as this
discussion would be going well off the list topics, about some common
words that we might include in our braille exceptions table which could be
used in the course of normal documents. What I mean is I would like to
discuss some contractions which perhaps could be added. For instance, I
would like to see the combination of dot 5 followed by the letter a used
to contract a word preferably starting with a. This would not just apply
to the vn or bn but also universally. So if you are interested, please
write to me off list please at the following email address.
