Todd mentioned a very good anti-spam program, Spam Assassin. All you see in
your inbox are messages with headers you have already approved. All other
messages go into a spam folder. It works well with Outlook. I don't use it
myself, but I have several friends who do.

Hi, Tod and everyone. An e-mail filter is different from one that filters
out spam. One could encorporate an e-mail filter into the bn that would
allow one to filter messages that might otherwise go into the inbox. They
could be filtered into any other box. So, if you wanted to filter any
message to you directly, into a personal mail box, that could be done. I do
it every day with eudora and outlook has the same capabilities. If you
wanted to filter all messages from an undesireable individual on the list
into the trash, no problem.
This is different than filtering any spam messages into a spam folder. I
would also like to see a spam filter for the bn as I do get many of these.
I use a program for eudora called spam nix. I hear there is also a good
spam filter that will work with outlook.
So, I would like to see two different types of filters; one to direct mail
into appropriate boxes and another to filter spam into a spam mailbox.
