Hi Isaac
I did not want to frighten anybody.
This kind of equipment needs improvement and there is always something to
ameliorate.
I got my BT last week,. I used to work with Braille lite 40, but apparently
nobody in Italy can repair it any longer.
I will send it somewhere else, but in the meantime I cannot work with slate
and stylus!

For what concerns features:
I have been using it for only a few days, but I am not able to work in
overwrite mode, while editing, so, if I must correct a letter in a given
word, I have to cancel the old one and to write the new one, whereas, if I
had "overwrite" mode, all I had to do is to overwrite the good letter.
If I want to replace a letter with another letter, this is not possible,
unless you replace the whole word.
It happens sometimes that you miss a dot, for instance instead of r (1235)
you write dots 235.

Backing up
I could not copy all data on my desktop computer. Databases are not copied,
I do not know why.
Conversion
You can never be sure that what you have on your BT is really copied onto
your desktop. When you make a copy Braillenote converts before copying, so
it can happen that some information gets corrupted.

Ambiguities
The manual refers to key 7 and to key 8 as bakspace and enter. You may think
that if you press key 7 you obtain backspace and if you press 8 you obtain
enter.
In reality, to obtain bakspace you must press space and key 7 and to obtain
enter you must use both space bar and dot 8.

Erasing
to erase a file you press backspace and c
to erase an item in you services database you must press something else.

BT has a variety of advantages which should not be underestimated, but,
because I find it a very good piece of equipment, I wish I could recommend
it to as many friends as possible.
Bye for now
Antonio
