Hi Terry In general, while new features like these would be nice, I also feel that HumanWare may consider them to be very specific. The more features and options you have in a product the more bugs there will inevitably be. So I could understand why a company like HW may choose not to add such features.
But what is *really* needed is the long talked about SDK. this would allow third parties to write such little utilities, and this would have no inmpact on the complexity of the Keysoft suite. I seem to recall Jonathan saying that the SDK would be around by summer 2005, we'll wait and see -- it is certainly needed. But likewise, thanks and congrats to the HW team for their work on 6.x! I think these features could be implemented easily. These features are: 1. Delete all leading spaces from a document 2. Convert multiple spaces to a single space 3. Delete all blank lines. I opened a web braille book on my PC and used the program which has these 3 features to make the book more readable. I then inserted the CF card with the book on it into my BN. What a difference! The book was much more readable without the unnecessary blank lines and spaces! The program I used to accomplish all this in seconds is a text editor called PowerEdit. I can't see why these features couldn't be implemented into the BN! What a time saver it would be! Terri Pannett, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA.
