Hi Bruce,
Why would the LG VX4500 be different from a modorola V60S phone which a
number of persons on this list use? I had a Modorola phone prior to the
Modorola V60s which worked well with my BN. I hated to get rid of it but
did have the V60S prior to getting the LG VX4500 phone. Verizon will
always tell you that their phones won't work with a PDA, one needs their
software . . . that's what they always say until you show them that a given
phone can work with the BN. It is a pain having to buy new cables for each
new phone. I didn't get cables for the V60S but just got them for the LG
VX4500. They say this cable we got works with any number of LG phones. So
I am now back to square one! Why won't it work? What's stopping it from
working or what doesn't the phone have to make it work as a modem with a PDA?
I'm not saying you aren't correct! I simply want a fuller explanation as
to why the phone won't work! I think we all deserve this explanation if we
have this phone!

Accordint to the folks at Verizon Wireless, that phone won't work with any
PDA, but will work with a laptop, & software which Verizon Wireless
provides. I have an acquaintance, who has a BN, & works as a programmer for
Verizon Wireless, that confirmed this for me. He says the phone does work
nicely with a laptop, & that the software is at least accessible there.
When last I conversed with Verizon Wireless, they promised to be looking
into making PDA accessibility a reality, for all. Whether they were saying
this to get rid of me, or not, is anyone's guess.
