Hi Bob, Yes I know the Braille display is often slow in keeping up with me when I write in text boxes double or single. It seems to happen on any and all Web sites that I visit. What happens to me is I write along in the text boxes and then I get an error message like violation writing or exception command something like that. Then my unit is frozen with this message until I remove my Etthernet card and do a reset. It's very frustrating. I have answed questions for tests before on this web site and have not had problems. It was working for part of the test and then it was like it just stopped working in the double text boxes. That time I didn't get the error message it just simply wouldn't write. I was having to use abbreviations for a lot of my answers to help save character space. Somehow I really think PDI needs to consider addressing this issue. I think the character limit is something like 504 characters in text boxes. It makes me think I should not consider taking c! ollege classes online if the BN cannot handle filling in answers for tests where the class is not for college credit. My parents asked me if I wanted my computer when they come to visit and I think I need it. I just thought the BN was able to handle whings better. Sometimes my BN works perfectly for s"aal days and then it has to have several resets a day to keep it functioning. I know the BN is not a computer but for me it's the only AT device I have presently. I don't have enough money to purchase a laptop. I wonder if with the new version of Keysoft coming out if this issue of character space in text boxes will be addressed? I would be happy with some type of warning instead of an error message and basically freezing my unit. Luckily the professor for that class I was taking was understanding about my missing answers and about the abbreviated answers. It's just frustrating to me when the BN seems so capable of doing things most of the time and then sometimes it ju! st seems so incapable of handling simple tasks. It's almost like it u sed to be able to do things when I first got my unit that now it doesn't know how to do. I know the BN isn't human. I sometimes wonder when AT devices receive upgrades and new features if something somehow is lacking in the old features like they get put on the back burner because the cool new features are available. I dinn't mean to make this so lengthy. I like my Braillenote really I do. Lisa
