Donna,,,
My address list is in wordperfect and I doubt I'll ever really transfer it. Let's see what happens if and when I start working. maybe that address list will be different. I'll probably need that one more.

Hi Isaac and All,

What I do, is fill in the form, then hit escape and I am asked to confirm
changes, which I hit y for.

I had seen all the addresses in there previous to my needing the one, and then
when I needed that one, I had made the horrible discovery, that there were none
at all in there.

I am using a QT keyboard so, I don't do the chord commands.

I'm not rushing to redo the information, as I am hoping to win the lottery, even
though I don't play. <grin

Hi Donna and list,
I am just wondering if perhaps after you complete an address, perhps you
need to do e chord and save each one individually in order to be sure
they're there? Just wondering. I put an address in my book last night and
I've not checked this morning to see if it remains there....
Happy addressing!

Hi All,

I mysteriously lost my address list file a few weeks ago.

I spent days adding all the information and to my horror, when I needed to
gather some information from the file, it was empty.

I searched everywhere. Luckily, I did have at least most of my email addresses
on the storage card.

I never found the huge database but now, I make sure that my storage card has
at least the original of everything that I enter into the VN whether I enter it
via my computer or I manually write.

I've still not gotten everything re-added, as it took forever the first time,
and its frustrating to not be able to add the information by copying and
pasting into the address list.

So, I sympathize with all who have lost important data.

Just let this be a hard lesson learned.

This definitely does not give one who is new to the product a positive feeling
about putting more money into upgrading and such.

I think about the times that there have been ghosts in my out box and of the
many times when I know there were no messages in the out box, and when checking
mail, I heard that 526 messages had been sent.

I guess that out box ghost had been busy those times.
