Hi what does key soft 5.1 build 22 do that 19 did not? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Milton M. Ota" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'Braillenote List'" <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 20, 2004 1:11 PM Subject: RE: [Braillenote] "Cannot run this version of Keysoft" error message!?
For all those who are having trouble you might want to try this: For BT users: hold down dots 1-2-3 and press the reset button, don't let up the dots 1-2-3 until you hear speech. Follow the prompt and if you are instructed to hold down keys, hold them until you hear speech. For QT users: replace dots 1-2-3 with f-d-s, and again follow the prompts. For getting to the website for updates/patches, go to the following URL: http://pulsedata.propagation.net/sdw/user/login.aspx The Username is the first 5 digits of your serial number of the BT/QT unit. To find this, for BT users, press spacebar with the letter I; not sure for QT users. Space down twice and you should hear your serail number. The Password for the site is: frog1 (in lower case) Hope this helps. Aloha, Milton M. Hi list and PDI staff, I have had my Braille Note QT for three months now, and I am starting to get a strange error message. When I turn the unit on it says "cannot run this version of Keysoft", when I press a key it makes a funny noise and then shuts down completely. The only way I can get it to come back is to press the reset button. Unfortunately, this process has been repeating itself several times now. I am currently running Keysoft version 5.1 build 19. Has anyone had an issue like this with this version before? Will I have to reinstall Keysoft completely or is there a software patch available to fix this problem? I also was wondering if you have to have a software maintenance agreement in order to log on to the software downloads site? If not, how does one acquire a password to log on? The reason I ask is because I would suspect that this is where small patches would be found. If I wanted to go from build 19 to the build 22 that I've been reading about, would I have to have a maintenance agreement? Thanks for any help anyone could give.
