The confusion is that the PCMCIA slot in the right side of the BN/VN is a
type 2 PCMCIA slot which can be made to hold a type 1 CF card with an
adapter. The slot on the back of the VN/BN can take a type 1 or type 2
card. The type 2 card is a little thicker than the type 1. I actually
have a 2GB micro disk drive that is the size of a type 2 card and it works
just fine. HTH.

I also thought that when I initially purchased a compact flash card prior to
getting the updated motherboard, I had to get a Type 2 adapter. Can someone
clarify, please?
