If you delete these, then you don't get them back if you decide you want
them rite?
I don't care for the sound either, so I do my email down load with speech
off and just read the Braille.

Hi Nancy:
Just a quick note to let you know that you can turn down the progress
beeps and error alert tones if you care to do so.
Go to the options menu by pressing space with o (function with o)
following by r to review the speech options. You will see three options
which pertain to you: delete alarm tone, error alarm tone, and progress
alarm tone. These are set on a numerical scale from 0-5, so setting them
at 0 would be the lowest volume possible.

No, Laura, I didn't take offense, and my message looked pretty bad with
those typos. Either the key is stuck, or I'm not pressing down hard
enough when I type. I'm reading as I go along, and this message looks
good so far, grin. I don't mind "didacticisms" in a nice way, grin. I've
never even used the spell checker before, for some reason.
Somehow, when I did another reset, my manual appeared again inthe Options
menu. Strange.
Laura, you said you have some keystrokes that aren't inthe Manual. Would
you mind sending these to me if it wouldn't be too much trouble?
Is there a way to make the keys a little quieter in a later update?
They're not too loud, but it would be interesting to be able to turn down
the progress beeps, if possible. I'm hearing-impaired also, but I can't
hear the alarm real well unless it's set at 32. I wish that would be just
a little bit louder, for alarm clock purposes, anyway. I have an old
Sharp electric alarm clock, and I think that's a little louder than the
highest setting for the alarm.
I know one can go to Options and hit N which will tell you your next
appointment. Is there any to scroletter through to get a list of your
appointments without going through the individual dates? I use the keyplan
feature a lot now. I'd still like to see a an optional feature in keyplan
whereby one could have a "planner alert status". When one turns on the
unit and there's an appointment for that day, you will have to answer No
to get out of it when it says something like "planner alert, yes or no.
The alarm would still be an option, of course.
Thanks for listening, and keep the courteous reminders and shortcuts
coming. It keeps me on my toes, grin.
Thanks for listening.
That's exciting that you're moving to Phoenix, Mary Ellen. Ts not too far
from the low desert of Riverside California.
Nancy
