For the pop3 setting, try pop.earthlink.net, or try mail.earthlink.net.  I 
don't know if this will help, but hey, I'll try anything once.--Grin!

Seville, Anita's Earthlink settings are a little different, but since she
doesn't understand your question, I'll tell you the settings.  Yes, we could
use your help, and would be glad for it.
Service Provider:  Earthlink.  Modem, internal modem.  Phone number:
3380020. service user name: [EMAIL PROTECTED]  Password, don't know that
one.  Email user name: Same as above.  We've tried it both ways, not putting
the ending on.  Pop server:  pop.ix.netcom.com.  SMTP server:
smtpauth.earthlink.net.  They do not require authenticication, though we
tried it both ways. Log on to network:  no.  Use software compression:  yes.
Use IP header compression:  yes.  Wait for dialtone: yes.  No DNS is
required, nor the proxy server.  Thanks for your help.
