Oh indeed I have that problem big big time!
Not so much with the front flap but with the side flaps, especially on the left side because of course that is where my dogis positioned to guide and she is a Golden Retriever so we have to actually use her curry comb to get the velcro to stick after combing lots of hair off the thing. I wish they wouldpartially redesign that case. Just make it wider with a separate compartment at the rear for accessories, e. g. cell phone gps receiver and the like. Or they couldmake the little ears on the accessory case longer with clips to clip into the case loops.

Subject: [Braillenote] That darn velcrove

Hi All:
I thought I'd mention this as others might have found it to be a problem.
Anyone find that the velcrove strip on the case for the VN, don't know if
the BN cases are made similar, but anyone find it picks up way to much junk,
pet hair, lint all that fun stuff?
For my part I would rather not use ear phones unless I have to so tend to
wear the vn with the top flap folded back behind it so it's not in the way, major problem with this is that it tends to grab anything on the sweater I'm
wearing.
First to prevent this I've taken to covering the velcrove strip with tape, a
strip of hockey or skin tape works well and helps when removed to take off
some of the collected fluff.
Second to clean that strip the best tool I found is the curry comb for my
dog, gentle brushing over the strip both left to right and bottom to top
lifts a lot of stuff.
Third, just a suggestion for my part I would prefer the case to have two or
three velcrove tipped straps to secure rather than this wide strip of
velcrove that grabs at everything. Perhaps small pads could be placed on the
underside of the case lid to secure the straps when the case is open, as
well as pads on the vn portion itself to close it. I like this idea better
as well because it makes closing the vn more secure if you are carrying
anything in the zipper pouch, if you have several things in their the
velcrove doesn't hold well and doesn't stay closed all the time. a strap
would allow for a little adjustment when the pouch is being used.
BTW I added the waste strap I had mentioned in a previous post and love it.
I had a friend who reupolsters furnature do the stitching, they have the
sewing machines for this kind of work. we put a two inch wide sleeve across the case then ran a 1 inch strip through that and it works like a dream. The
only thing I might change would be to use a wider sleeve and strip only
because the 1 inch feels quite thin though it works great.
Anyway don't know if anyone else finds these to be minor issues but I
thought I'd write and show what I've done and see if anyone has other and
better suggestions.
