I leave my flash card in the side slot but don't have it fully engaged. I
push the button so it isn't set solidly, and it stays in. I've heard of a
couple of cases where the BN tries to format the storage or CF cards.
Keeping it in the slot but not tight means this most probably won't happen.
Just a thought!
God bless!

Hi,

I also have arthritis in my hands and find the cards difficult to remove
from the back. So I do exactly what Isaac suggests here, I use the side
slot with a card adaptor. It goes in easily, and a very easy press of the
button removes the card. I feel uncomfortable leaving the card in the
slot--for one thing either it or the adaptor runs down the battery--but I
think also from my years working and teaching in the PC world of not leaving
a disc in a drive, I suppose. But I know people do leave it in all the time
and have no problems. I'd be concerned about the pins getting damaged, but
perhaps that wouldn't be very likely in normal use.

Sherry

Sharon,
You can leave the card in the unit. I would recommend that when you carry
it that you carry it in the case for maximum protection.
Now if this were I, I'd use the side and a card adapter to be sure to
protect the back of the unit. those cards gan get loose in there and that
would worry me. I would be concerned about the pins breaking. But I'd say
you can carry it safely this way. I just told you what I would do. Now you
will have quite a few answers on thisone.
I really wonder what the Dean has to say about this? <smile>
