Carlos,

Try the following:

1.  Delete the Windows folder.
2.  perform a 456 reset.
3.  After you are prompted for a normal reset, reset with dots 123 instead.
4.  Reinstall KeySoft.
5.  If you have GPS or multilingual packages installed, these will need to
be reinstalled.

Yep.  Tried that and I still get that message about the planner and its
alarms will not start and to press reset or reinstall keysoft if the
problem persists.  I just can't seem to get into the planner anymore.

Yes, this message will often occur after a 456 reset due to the way the
new planner actually works.

Try doing a 456 reset followed by a normal reset.

A 123 reset won't be good to you as it will take you back to the old
planner.

I placed a call to Humanware today to find that the office is closed for
the preparation of the release of new products.  I do not know if this
means that tech support is closed as well, but I left a message on their
voice mail system.  Anyways, I thought I'd come to this list for help. I
have a Braille note 32 with keysoft 5.1 build 19.  The planner was
working beautifully until this past weekend.  Now, when I access the
planner application from the main menu and select open, it shows the
current day in the calendar just fine.  However, when I press enter to
open the planner, I get a message which says "cannot start the planner
and the alarm system, press reset.  if the problem persists reinstall
this version of keysoft."  I am then returned to the main menu.  I've
tried resetting with dots 456 held down, with 123 held down, and by
simply pressing reset with no success.  I've even tried reinstalling
keysoft 5.1 with no luck.  The flash disk has roughly 6 megs of free
space available.  Has anyone seen this problem before?  Can anyone think
of what I can do to get this planner back?  This Braille note actually
belongs to my girlfriend and she has some important appointments that
she needs to access for her job.
