Rose,

I have a new plan for how you can find your router address. If you go to a command prompt, i.e. DOS, and type:

tracert google.com

This will trace a route to the Google website. The website is not important, but the first IP address you see in the trace route should be the IP address of your router. It will almost certainly begin with 192.168.

What screen reader are you using? I know in the older versions of JAWS, I had to use the JAWS cursor to read the output from this screen but JAWS 6.0 will read it automatically. Let me know if you have any questions.

Paul

I have not had to turn up the volumes on either of the units I upgraded.

Hi Don,
Yes, I think I am going to really enjoy this upgrade. I notice even
though I'm using dial up, I can get mail faster. It even empty's the
trash faster. I was able to get onto the Guiding Eyes website to the
log in page where I never could go before. Am I correct that we can now
use the voicenote to purchase things on secure websites? I didn't see
anything about this in the readme for 6.11.
Humanware, you've done a wonderful job. I'm going to love this.

Stacey and Amigo
Ps. I did notice what others have mentioned about having to turn up the
volume. Jonathan, you did say taht this is a bug and would be fixed
right? What causes this? Just wondered.

Hi Stacey,

Exactly right! It takes a bit of getting used to if you are used to
the old directory of services, but it really is cool.

Hi Don,
Thanks very much. I would only need to set up another email account if
I wanted to check my husbands messages right?

Hi Stacey,

Sure, all you have to do is set up another configuration under the
connectivity menu with all of the same info you put in the one you're
using now except
for the
different access number. Just give it a unique name and you can
always choose which ever you want to use to connect.

You do not need another account set up in the directory of accounts if
you are going to use the same email account in both places.

That's why you have the prompts for both connection and email account.
Choose the connection you want and then just always choose your one
email
account. Actually that should be the selected one every time.

Remember, the bn offers you a choice of connection and account, and
provides the last one used in both instances as the default.

Don
