It works so well for me that I use it on my laptop when d.j-ing. I shut the
speech off and use my bn qt very successfully as a Braille terminal.

Yes, it will work with jaws and a lap top or desk top.

Hi Susan;
You mean if I get a lap top, I can put Jaws on it and use my BT as a
braille
display. I have heard that a BN will not work with Jaws. Please explain
what they ment by such a statement.
I thought I could not use Jaws with the BN. If this is true, it will open
up a door for my future.
Thanks.

The BrailleNote has to be in terminal mode--from the main menu hit T.
The way I do this is to get the BrailleNote going first, then boot up
the computer; that way when JAWS comes up you should have Braille. Did
you tell JAWS you are using a BrailleNote as a display, and did you
choose it as the default display? If the answers are yes, then you
should have Braille. Good luck.

Subject: [Braillenote] The BrailleNote as a braille display:
How do I configure the BrailleNote as a braille display? I connected
the BN with the serial cable; went into Jaws' braille mode, but I know
there is something I need to do to make the BN act as a display? I have
looked in the manual but there is obviously something I am missing.
Thanks.
