Hi Penny,

The reason that you have to flatten the battery is to recalobrate. This is
done every so often so that the gage will be accurit when checking the
status of the battery. If you want to drain your battery then take your bn
and put it some place that it will not drive any one out of there mind.
Then go to the opsions menu and do a read with I or space with I and ;press
f and let it talk until the battery is dead.

HTH.

Matthew

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Running the Battery Flat

Dear All,

I am new to this list.

I have been a BrailleNote user for a little longer than a year. I still
have much to learn.

I have a couple of questions:

1. What does it mean to "run one's battery flat," and why do you do it?

2. It appears that you all already have the software upgrade. I'm still
waiting, although I have 3 SMAs available. How can I expedite receiving
the upgrade?

4. Does it come with wireless capability, or is that yet something else?

5. What else, if anything, do I need to make the wireless connectivity
connect?

That's a lot more than just a couple of questions, I guess. Thanks for
your help.
Penny
