Hello Michele, The fact that you are hearing an error message concerning the unicode table after doing a 456 reset suggests to me that you have KeySoft 3.07 in ROM. This is a known issue with this KeySoft ROM build and the only way to resolve this would be to purchase an upgrade.
If you need to perform a 456 reset what I would do is press the reset button with no keys held down, once the date and time have been set. Let me know if you get any unexpected error messages or if the manual is still inaccessible.
