It means that we're going to remove the support
for the lx brand from the next release of Solaris.
The reasons are primarily because the brand never
received any real adoption, it is outdated since it
only emulates the 2.4 kernel, and there is a high
cost associated with maintaining this.  There are
also better better alternatives now that weren't
as widely available when the brand was developed.
In particular, VirtualBox does support the 2.6 kernel
and is freely available on OpenSolaris.

Since the code is already open source, people outside
of Oracle can continue to maintain it, if they are
interested, or even enhance the code to properly support
the 2.6 kernel.  I would be happy to sponsor any
bug fixes into the base ON code that are needed for
the brand to work.  If there is any interest in that,
please let me know.
