I put cumin in my chili too and never have a problem finding it, but.....if you
don't have an asian market near and your local grocery store is empty, you can
find whole cumin (and just about every other spice you ever needed) at
http://www.thespicehouse.com/ .  They are pretty quick at shipping and very
reasonably priced.  I get my whole nutmeg and allspice berries from them.  I
also got a jerk chicken rub that was absolutely amazing.

 Just my 2 cents,
Catherine

I have been married 52 years, used cumin 52 years, never had problems ffinding
it in any major grocery store. I put cumin in chili. Our family always said,
"Its not chili unless its got cumin in it".
