Meanwhile, the shop where I bought the Brewtus has also done some research. They were told that the Brewtus IV (and also the latest III's) are prepared to accept pods/servings. Because of that the pre-infusion chamber was enlarged a bit and that would be the cause of the somewhat longer time before first drops appear. Btw, I lowered the pressure to 10,5 bar on the gauge and against a blind filter. I then measured with a manometer portafilter and that read 9 bar. I have the impression that with a 18g VST basket, my shots are much better. Before lowering the pressure I couldn't get a proper combination of dose, grind etc. I even reverted to a LM double basket because of that. But maybe it is just a coincidence.
