Download the 2.4.18 kernel through www.kernel.org or you favorite mirror.
copy bridge-nf-0.0.6-against-2.4.18.diff to /usr/src/<linux_source_dir>.
cd /usr/src/<linux_source_dir>
patch -p1 < bridge-nf-0.0.6-against-2.4.18.diff

read the README very carefull.

make menuconfig
check Code maturity level options -> Prompt for developlent and/or
incomplete code/drivers
check Networking options -> 802.1d Ethernet Bridging -> netfilter
(firewalling) support
