Like a certain other US Brineller known to be incapable of admitting he is wrong, now Arnett has also decided to take the matter off-list and continue his threats there. Even though my Legal Notice allows me to reply on-list to his off-list messages, I am not going to do that -- not because it would be wrong (it wouldn't be), but because I don't want to give him any excuse to again abuse his list-admin powers to silence someone he or one of his friends disagrees with -- although I am sure he will happily go out of his way in order to find such an "excuse".
It is completely WRONG, RUDE and INAPPROPRIATE to post offlist messages onlist without the permission of the person you are talking to. NO ONE here disagrees with this but you. This is not a matter which is open for debate or misinterpretation. Also, this isn't just a point of etiquette for Brin-L, it is a point of etiquette for the entire Internet. Proof of this was previously presented to you in at least two forms.
