Private companies need to look out for 3 groups of people:

1) Stockholders

2) Employees

3) the community (or communities) in which they operate

And looking out for any one at the expense of the other two, or two at the
expense of the other one, is bound to lead to conflict sooner or later.

Too many companies are ignoring obligations to 2) and/or 3).

So if they're a private company but not remembering that they have
obligations to people other than shareholders, that's a bad thing.

It's not what sort of company they are per se, it's how they treat everyone
they deal with that fixes their place on the "good/evil" scale. :)
