A news item today really made me stop and think. It was about Rwandan President Paul Kagame, whose country lost 800,000 people in a conflict that the U.N. was very slow to act upon, who said that sometimes the United Nations is wrong and member nations must act alone. I'm not sure who else could get away with saying that. I can't think of anyone from whom it would make such an impact. It didn't convince me that we *must* go to war, but darn, it was a good reminder.

It makes me wonder what will happen if/when allied forces roll into Baghdad and find the Anthrax/Mustard Gas plants and documentation on a nuclear program what the UN (and better the world) response will be...
