Stephenson doesn't do endings very well. Zodiac might almost have one.
The book is based on a very interesting idea, is fast-paced except for the bits about Ancient Sumerian language and culture (and they are informative), takes place in an imaginative distopia, and follows some very interesting characters. YTs skateboard (with RadiKS Mark II Smartwheels) and coverall are very cool, and ya gotta love the metaverse...
OK, what's next, The Sparrow? Cryptonomicon? Permutation City?
