No doubt he is hoping this will either raise support for republicans in the coming election if Democrats try to stop it or to pass it through both the house and the senate before the elections if the democrats cave. Either way Bush's agenda of hate goes on. If the amendment is passed, does that mean, under equal protection, that heterosexual marriages are nullified as well?
