I think you're right, Alberto.... the French clearly must have felt that they were being outdone, because today they began joint naval exercises with the Chinese navy of the coast of Taiwan, on the eve of Taiwan's elections. http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/PEK283556.htm The last time the People's Republic tried to intimidate the only Chinese people who have the right to vote for their top leaders, the United States also warships to participate....a US carrier group to make it clear that we would support democracy. France, on the other hand, somehow saw it fit to participate in the People's Republic's campaign of military intimidation.
