True enough. But the important thing is the food. My parents are from India, and I've spent enough time there to understand hunger - real hunger - at least at a distance. The important thing is the food. My great-grandfather used to stand at his front door every evening, and as people went by he would ask them if they had eaten a good meal that day. If not, they were invited in for dinner - no matter who they were, what they were wearing, it didn't matter. They would not go hungry. Why did he do it? I have no idea - he died before I was born. But to this day people are alive because he fed them, and that's what matters. ---- Touching. But then why do support right-wing policies? That's not what right-wingers are all about. The republicans don't care if people are starving somewhere. They care about gutting policies that help the poor, like food stamps. They care about the profits of multi-national drug companies, not helping people dieing of aids in africa, or india.
