I'm on a mailing list for a group that's designed for a specific
purpose, and politics isn't it. Someone posted a quasi-political joke
(one that Rob, IIRC, posted here awhile back -- the one about how Texas
could secede and in doing so screw over the rest of the US, but with a
twist having to do with the election), and was kindly told by the
moderator that we would NOT discuss politics on that list. I was
grateful -- that's not what the group is about, and it's the most civil
mailing list I'm on. (The fact that all the participants are mothers
probably doesn't hurt....)
